We’re a small team based in Chelmsford, focusing on residential and mixed-use development opportunities in Essex and neighbouring counties. We also provide a project/development management service and offer a commercial energy assessment (NDEA) and advice service.
With over 30 years’ experience in residential, commercial and mixed-use development in Essex, Suffolk, Herts, Greater London and various parts of the Midlands for selected clients, we understand development. We work with a trusted team of other property professionals and consultants, and have built a wealth of local knowledge. Our development management experience combines the skills of a Chartered Planning & Development Surveyor (MRICS), Considerate Constructors Scheme Monitor and Commercial Energy Assessor (NDEA). Our work also includes collaboration with innovators in the waste management industry, including the waste-to-energy sector, gasification, harvesting food grade CO2 and the production of synthetic lightweight aggregate.

Conditional sale of site for new houses and apartments on former industrial site. GDV £2.2m. Site sold March 2020.
Secured planning permission for ten new homes on greenfield site. GDV £6m. Site sold September 2021.
Secured planning permission for 61 new apartments. GDV £15m Site sold 2019.
Unconditional acquisition and new planning application for 24 houses and apartments. GDV £6.5m Site sold 2024.
Unconditional acquisition of garage site as part of larger scheme. Potential GDV £300k Site sold 2024.
Sale of commercial site for future development. GDV £3m Site sold 2023.
Secured PD consent for conversion of existing offices to 12 apartments. GDV £3m Site retained by client.
Our typical involvement with a project runs from identification of an opportunity long before acquisition, until the end of the warranty provider’s initial defects period (ie 2 years following Practical Completion) and includes every step in between.
We manage projects up to various stages, according to clients’ requirements, and can tailor our approach to suit.
Our Elmhurst Certified commercial energy assessor (NDEA) undertakes level 3 and 4 assessments across England. We also work collaboratively with other NDEAs across the UK on projects of various sizes including small offices and retail units to large hotels (200+ bedrooms) and potentially everything in between.
